You've probably seen his film work on our website, social media, and at Celebrate Seacrest: The Annual Auction, and now Seacrest sophomore Nate Caruso can add the Artis-Naples Student Film Institute to his robust roster.
For the past two years, Nate has explored and expanded his interest in videography and film production through Seacrest's technology program. Under the leadership of Director of Technology Mr. Beights, Nate is part of a team of students who coordinate and produce a variety of student-driven projects, including fundraising videos and tutorials for the Seacrest Parents Association. Nate is skilled in videography, editing, and still photography.
Nate is one of only 18 students in Collier County accepted to this prestigious program. Here's a video Nate helped shoot, edit, and produce last year for Celebrate Seacrest: the Annual Auction:
The Artis—Naples Student Film Institute is a program designed to expose students to all aspects of filmmaking and provide hands-on experience. These workshops are taught by University of Miami professors and film professionals, including producer and co-writer of Stand and Deliver, Tom Musca; Emmy Award winner in sound, Jeffrey Stern; and Miami's up-and-coming young film director and president of AAA Film Productions, Aaron Agrasanchez.
Nate will begin the year-long course in February. He'll study screenwriting, directing and producing, cinematography, sound, and editing.
By course conclusion, students will have helped to write, direct, edit and produce a film that will be submitted to the Naples International Film Festival. Select students films will be screened at Silverspot Cinema during the festival.
We are thrilled for Nate and wish him all the best in this new endeavor!
