Message from the Head of School

Welcome to Seacrest Country Day School! From its early beginnings as a Lower School more than 30 years ago, Seacrest has evolved into a dynamic and vibrant independent school whose graduates attend some of the most selective colleges and universities. Seacrest is an intentionally small school that draws its strength from its community and offers our students a “big experience” that impacts them for the rest of their lives.

Seacrest is where students in all divisions grow and blossom, take risks, and develop a sense of shared purpose and mutual vitality. Students love learning and their School, and take ownership of their education. Expectations are high; we ask them to solve real problems and to think both critically and creatively — the intersection of which is vital to success in our world. We ask them to be citizens, to be part of something bigger than themselves, and to leave Seacrest a better place than when they arrived. They develop deep bonds with each other that last a lifetime.

Seacrest is a place where parents count, and are counted upon. We are true partners with our parents in the education of their children. We count upon them because they are integral to the success of Seacrest through their support, volunteer efforts and commitment.

For teachers, Seacrest is a place where they can fully explore their incredible talents, their craft, their knowledge of the learning process, and their dedication to children. The Seacrest faculty and staff embrace our mission making it come alive in the classroom, on the stage and the athletic field, and in our outreach to the great community.

Together — students, parents, and faculty — we are the community that is Seacrest Country Day School. Together we embark on an annual journey of discovery, growth, meaningful work and wonder. Every day we learn together, discover together and celebrate together. Every day we try to live lives of consequence with a touch of grace.

There is much to learn about Seacrest, and I hope that you visit us in person. It is a school like none other. Until then, our website is a great place to start. You can also visit us on Facebookand Twitter to hear about what is happening right now. We look forward to meeting you.

We look forward to meeting you,
