Glee-ful Moment!

As if playing at Artis-Naples isn't fun enough already, Seacrest Upper School choir teacher Mrs. DeSalvo and Seacrest senior Madison Hilton got to meet a Hollywood and Broadway star, too! The duo was rehearsing Sunday night in the Daniels Pavilion and went to meet Matthew Morrison (Glee's Mr. Schuester) next door in Hayes hall the night of HIS show.

Seacrest in the City!

Seacrest Upper School Chorus visited New York City in early April for an incredible opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall. Here's how Mrs. DeSalvo described the experience:

"Students from the Upper School chorus at Seacrest Country Day School were invited for the second time to appear at Carnegie Hall as part of the National Youth Choir under the direction of Dr. Edith Copley, who is known worldwide in the choral conducting world. Students worked for three days in rehearsals with other schools from across the country to form a 350 person choir that performed last Sunday April 2 at Carnegie Hall. It was AMAZING!

Kids also visited the 9/11 museum, the Freedom Tower, the Empire State building, and took in a Broadway show. On Saturday night, they also attended an Italian dinner which also included 10 alumni that are successfully working and living in NYC!"
