Varsity Head Coach - Bill Carufe
Mr. Carufe has a wealth of experience teaching, coaching, facilitating sports camps and clinics, and with managing facilities, planning, curriculum design, book consultation and writing program philosophy. Bill currently focuses his energy as a faculty member and Director of Basketball Operations at Seacrest.
Prior to moving to Naples, Coach Carufe was an elementary physical education teacher, assistant football coach, JV baseball coach and varsity basketball coach for 14 years in upstate New York. He moved to Naples in 1998 and was employed by Gulf Coast High School as a physical education teacher, assistant football coach and junior varsity basketball coach. During his tenure at Gulf Coast High School, he was named Gulf Coast High School Coach of the Year, Gulf Coast High School Teacher of the Year and Collier County Public School High School Teacher of the Year.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Brandon Dean
Coach Brandon Dean has a love for breaking down and teaching the game of basketball which began when he was a standout high school player in South Jersey. As a senior in high school, he moved to the east coast of Florida and soon signed on as a recruit at the University of Florida. After several injuries sidetracked his Division 1 career, Brandon landed at Ave Maria University. Brandon was an all-conference player at Ave Maria and also began training high level players. This opportunity allowed him to start his own basketball academy. His training style is geared towards developing strong, explosive, and smart athletes. He has had the opportunity to train 38 NBA players and many high level players from all over the country. Before coming to Seacrest, Brandon was an assistant coach at University School in Ft. Lauderdale where they were ranked number one in the country.
