There are limitless opportunities for students to discover their musical talent throughout their Lower, Middle and Upper School experience. Singers in every grade level are featured at Seacrest’s annual Holiday Concert and Spring Recital, but the Seacrest vocal education expands far beyond two yearly performances.
Seacrest’s choral program begins in the Lower School. Our youngest students engage in ensemble and solo work, study basic music theory, follow musical instruction, and learn to read music. Our Lower School singers perform annually in grade-level plays of their own creation. They are featured in the Lower School Holiday Program and at special events.
With a strong background in the basics, Seacrest’s Middle School students focus on hone their vocal and performance skills. Classes focus on advanced sight-reading and ear-training skills. The choir performs both on campus and in the Naples community, gracing the stages of various churches and concert halls. Their repertoire ranges from classical music to today’s Top 40 hits, and includes music written in foreign languages.
The Seacrest Upper School Choir performs all over the world. Led by renowned pianist Jodie DeSalvo, the choir annually tours locations like New York City, London, Rome, and Paris. The Upper School Choir is also active throughout Southwest Florida. They regularly perform at local venues and private events, and are featured in many of Seacrest’s special events and ceremonies. The Upper School Choir students display their talents at show-stopping Cabaret Night, featuring solo and ensemble performances of Broadway hits.
Alumni of the Seacrest choral program have gone on to study opera, musical theatre, vocal technique, music production, and music composition.
