Need-Based Merit Scholarships are available to new students entering 6th grade through 12th grade at Seacrest Country Day School. Through the application process detailed below, applicants for the Merit Scholarships at Seacrest Country Day School will present a history of academic excellence and positive engagement in their current school community. The Seacrest Leadership Team will select recipients and award Merit Scholarships of $5,000.00 - $15,000.00 toward tuition costs at Seacrest Country Day School. Recipients may continue to earn the scholarship amount each subsequent year with good academic and community standing.
Upper School Merit Scholarships will be awarded in the following categories-
· Science and Sustainability
· Visual Arts
· Performing Arts
· Mathematics and Engineering
· General Academic Merit
Middle School Merit Scholarships will be awarded on general academic merit.

Please schedule and complete by February 1, 2021. Individual test times are offered at Seacrest Country Day School Monday – Friday and can be scheduled with the following link (a campus tour for parents can occur at the same time if you wish). We utilize the MAP Growth by NWEA for our Merit Assessment. Testing will take approximately two hours to complete.
Please submit a two to five-minute video highlighting the applicant. Applicant should introduce themself, speak about interests, areas of strength, community and current school engagement. If applying for an Upper School Merit Scholarship, the video should include a performance, exhibit or example of work related to Merit categories.

Seacrest Country Day School utilizes Student and School Services (SSS), a consulting firm and processor of tuition assistance applications for independent schools across the country.
Need-Based Merit Scholarship and/or Tuition Assistance qualification is based primarily on the family’s prior year income and overall financial situation. Our committee evaluates each application in a fair, consistent and confidential manner. We take time to understand the nuances and unique circumstances of each family.

Middle School Merit Scholarship-
February 15, 2022 is the deadline to apply, complete the student assessment, and submit the necessary tuition assistance and admission documents.
Upper School Merit Scholarship-
May 15, 2022 is the deadline to apply, complete the student assessment, and submit the necessary tuition assistance and admission documents.
Finalists for the Merit Scholarship will be invited back to campus (or virtual if preferred) for interviews with the Seacrest Leadership Team. Priority decision admission will be emailed with contracts.
Merit Scholarships will be awarded in June 2022.
