Middle School
Responsible | Engaged | Resilient
At our private middle school in Naples, students are encouraged to be intellectual risk-takers, creative thinkers, and responsible members of their community. The Seacrest whole-child approach to education continues in the Middle School years as the adolescent brain begins to develop.
Middle School students begin their day with advisory. Each morning students know that they will begin the day with an advisor and friends. This sets the path for a positive day.
Students in middle school learn to work through conflict and come together as a team. This is especially important at a vulnerable time in a child's growth. Students stay busy during the day at Seacrest, beginning and ending with their advisor. The advisor is their executive functioning teacher, as well as a trusted adult they can talk to. As part of their weekly classes students have English, Math, History, Science, Foreign Language, Public Speaking, Outreach, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Technology.

Interdisciplinary Approach
The Way Teaching is Meant to Be
Too often one's education occurs within silos. The lessons experienced by students live on only within the confines of a specific classroom.Students are infrequently able to connect these lessons to real life or to each other. The interdisciplinary approach to education provided at Seacrest serves to break down these barriers and allow a student's education to flow freely throughout our campus.
Teachers at Seacrest make conscious efforts to connect their content to other disciplines and to the real lives of our students. This approach allows students to synthesize the true value of an education - to prepare individuals for life after school
When combined with Seacrest's dedication to whole student education, Seacrest is able to shape students into deep thinkers and kind humans. This is the way teaching is meant to be.
Team Building Trips
Beginning in 5th grade, Seacrest students take one team-building trip per year. In 6th and 7th grade this trip becomes an extension of our Science program when students travel to Marine Lab in Key Largo to immerse themselves in Florida Bay and the Great Florida Reef. In 8th grade students travel to North Carolina to work on team and character building skills while rock climbing, rafting, hiking, and exploring the mountains.
