Board of Trustees
As an independent school, Seacrest is governed by a Board of Trustees who are committed to the School's legacy and its vision for the future. Members of the Board of Trustees are entrusted with carrying out long-range strategic planning, ensuring financial success, and developing policy consistent with the mission of Seacrest Country Day School. The Board is comprised of parents, friends of Seacrest, alumni parents and alumni.

Shan O'Fee-Byrom, Chair
Shan and her husband Mike Byrom are parents of two Seacrest students and have been with the school since 2018 when they moved to Naples. Shan is a lifelong volunteer and believes the work she did as a teen shaped a strong spirit of volunteerism which she now happily shares with the Seacrest Community. Since joining the school, Shan has co-chaired the Annual Gala for four years and has been involved in many other initiatives around campus. As current Board Chair, she is actively involved on all trustee committees. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Shan attended the University of Calgary, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Shan’s career took her into corporate learning & leadership development with WestJet, a Canadian airline, where she developed and facilitated leadership courses and coaching programs for frontline leaders through C-Suite executives. Shan left the workforce to spend time with her family. When she isn’t on campus, you will find her at a soccer field supporting her sons or training for her next triathlon.
Nick Gialamas, Vice Chair
Nick Gialamas is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Forest Capital Management, LLC a registered investment advisory firm (RIA) focused on retirement investment services for institutional clients. Forest Capital Management, LLC has been operating since 2014. Nick is also the Area President of HUB International, a global insurance brokerage firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. Before joining HUB, Gialamas served as Chief Executive Officer of Forest Financial Group, Inc., an employee benefits consulting firm he founded in 1998. During his tenure, Gialamas led the company through a period of transformation and sustainable growth. Forest Financial Group, Inc. was acquired by HUB International in December of 2015. Nick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Marketing from Northern Illinois University (NIU). He is loyal to his alma mater and stays personally involved with the University, including guest speaking engagements at the College of Business. The NIU College of Business Department of Marketing has recognized Nick’s contributions by presenting him with the Alumni of the Year Award. Nick is the Founder and Chairman of the Vaughn McClure & Jeff Dickerson Foundation, and serves on the NIU Executive Club Board of Advisors, the NIU College of Business Board of Advisors, ACS Athens Board of Trustees, as well as the Board of Advisors for the Retirement Savings Foundation in Washington D.C.
Amedeo Savoretti '11, Treasurer
Amedeo Andrea Savoretti was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and lived there until the age of 10. He then split time between Switzerland and Naples where he attended Seacrest Country Day School through high school. Deo has 3 daughters ages 4, 2 and a half, and 4 months old with his wife whom he first met at Seacrest in the 4th grade. Their oldest daughter is currently attending Seacrest as they both did. Their middle daughter will begin Preschool this year. Deo's professional background is mainly rooted in wealth management and finance. He was exposed to the business world at a young age by three main influences, two of which are his grandfathers, one who was a prominent industrial/
Susan (“Susie”) Hassan Schreiber, Secretary
Susie and her husband Rodd joined the Seacrest community in the fall of 2022 when their son Zane began kindergarten at Seacrest. Susie, Rodd and Zane moved to Southwest Florida from Chicago in 2021.
While Susie is most proud of her role as a mother, her professional background is as an experienced financial services executive, investor, and strategic advisor. She invests in and provides strategic advice to innovative early-stage companies. Susie previously served as a partner with Valor Equity Partners, a Chicago based private equity firm. At Valor, she led firm-wide management and strategic planning and served on the firm’s investment committee.
Prior to joining Valor, Susie was a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. During her nearly 20-year career with Skadden, she
specialized in M&A transactions and corporate governance matters for companies ranging from Fortune 500 to emerging growth stage.
Susie is active in philanthropic and not-for-profit work. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of CARE, one of the world’s largest poverty relief organizations. She formerly served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Equality Now and on the boards of The Clean Energy Trust, the Women's Sports Foundation, and the Chicago Public Library.
In 2009, the Aspen Institute named Susie a Henry Crown Fellow. She received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Michigan.
Debra Huber
Debra Larsen Huber grew up in Boise, Idaho, the third of ten children. She graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in English. Debra and her husband, David, have five children and nine grandchildren. Their youngest child, Jamison, graduated in 2016 from Seacrest where he served as student body president. He started Seacrest in third grade and had a remarkable educational experience. Debra is co-chair of the David and Debra Larsen Huber Family Foundation which focuses on education. David received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University. He founded two telecommunications companies, Ciena Corporation, and Corvis Corporation. Debra currently serves on the National Advisory Board of the Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins and on the Board of Trustees at Southern Virginia University.
Madison Hunt '12
Madison is a proud Seacrest alumnus who started her journey as a Stingray in 2nd grade and graduated as a Senior with the Class of 2012. She continued her education at the University of Central Florida where she received a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Event Management. After graduating from UCF together, Madison and her Seacrest sweetheart, Austin Hunt, returned to Naples and are now married. Her college internship working for a corporate event planning company turned into a full-time career where she curated exclusive experiences around the United States for some of the most notable corporations around the world. She was honored to have a number of her events receive awards from BizBash, ADMEI, and Northstar’s Stella. Madison recently stepped away from the event’s world to support her husband and family with their swiftly growing cabinetry business where she focuses on accounting and office management. With her background in planning and love for Seacrest, Madison was able to Co-Chair the Seacrest Annual Gala in 2021 and 2022.
Joann Talano
Joann is a Seacrest Alumni parent. Kate ’17 and Ryan ’20 started attending Seacrest when they moved here in 2004 and both became part of the esteemed “lifer” club. Joann has a deep belief in Seacrest and has enjoyed being part of its community for over 17 years.
Prior to moving to Naples, Joann spent over 20 years in the technology sector working as VP of sales and Marketing for several technology companies both large corporations and small start ups.
She received her BA from University of Vermont and her MBA from Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University.
As a new empty nester, she has unexpectantly started a new hobby of collecting rescue dogs. She currently has 3 persnickety chihuahuas and recently took in a young homeless Pitbull. She currently serves on several boards.
She is an advisory member for the Bayshore MSTU community development committee, board member of the Kellogg Alumni Association Club of South Florida, and on the Advancement Committee at Seacrest.
George Wilson
George Wilson has practiced in the areas of estate and tax planning, charitable giving and trust and estate administration in Naples since 1980. He is certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Wills, Trusts and Estates. Prior to founding Wilson & Johnson, Mr. Wilson was a partner at Cummings & Lockwood. A frequent speaker on topics related to estate planning, Mr. Wilson authored a chapter on “Domicile and Avoiding Ancillary Administration” in a text published by Callahan and Company and a multi-volume estate planning treatise titled “Estate and Personal Finance Planning.”
Mr. Wilson is admitted to practice law in Florida and Ohio, and he is a member of the Taxation and Real Property and Probate sections of the American Bar and Florida Bar Associations.
An honors graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Mr. Wilson received his law degree from the University of Toledo Law School and a Master of Laws in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Wilson has served as a director of the David Lawrence Foundation for Mental Health, Moorings Park, the David Lawrence Center, Step-By-Step for the Developmentally Handicapped and the Greater Naples Civic Association.
