Our Vision
We don't believe that children learn character from a book.
Character can't be defined in simple terms. It is evident in the way we live and in the things we believe. Which is why at Seacrest, "character" isn't a separate class. Rather, we live our values everyday.
Our students are taught to make a difference. For example, our little ones regularly visit a center for Alzheimer patients. There they perform and then personally interact with the patients. Our children are learning at an early age the value of giving back to the community. And the school sets an example by inviting the community to share resources such as our technology center.
We encourage our children to appreciate the gifts we receive just by being here. South Florida itself is a living laboratory. We try to use it to its best advantage. Each grade level travels a little further away on field trips and so, by middle school, the students are completing marine biology projects in the Florida Keys. Understanding and respecting their environment has been developing since Prekindergarten.
At Seacrest the entire learning experience is character building.
