Capital Campaign
Opening New Windows Together!
Seacrest Country Day School has always been an exhilarating place to learn and grow. In 2004 our inaugural high school class began its historic journey when the Board of Trustees initiated the Capital Campaign "Opening New Windows." In June 2008, the 24 members of the class were graduated with acceptances to over 50 colleges and universities in the United States and abroad.
For the past 25 years, Seacrest has educated children to meet challenges and take intellectual risks in order to recognize and realize their full potential. In the process, they discover the joy of learning, while making a positive difference in their communities and in the lives of others. Seacrest's multifaceted approach reaches beyond the purely academic to encompass leadership, values, creativity, problem solving and athletics. This approach is encompassed in our overarching philosophy, "The Seacrest Difference" - an absolute belief in the unlimited potential of every child.
A strong parallel can be drawn with Seacrest's own growth. Today Seacrest is moving forward with aggressive plans to realize its own potential. Brimming with anticipation and confident in our ability to create a unique and wonderful high school learning environment, the school is poised to make a profound difference in the lives of young adults throughout Southwest Florida.

Opening New Windows
When complete, Seacrest's Upper School campus will feature three separate buildings - an Academic Complex, an Arts and Athletics Facility and a Performing Arts Center. Comprehensive athletic fields and supporting structures are also incorporated. This auspicious campaign and the resulting construction of the Upper School campus will take place in several phases.
During phase one, the majority of the outdoor sports and recreation areas were developed and built simultaneously. This phase was completed during the summer of 2007. The athletic facilities include a large play area to supplement the Lower School playgrounds. Seacrest's new athletic fields include high school regulation track, a soccer field, and baseball field with tennis courts and softball field scheduled for completion in 2009.
The Village with high school classrooms and a gathering area supports approximately 160 students in grades nine to twelve. Other site amenities include a nine-acre wetland preserve and two lakes offering teaching opportunities in environmental science as well as a tranquil and serene setting for the school.
The 25,000 square foot gymnasium and science center has been completed. The athletic facility features a complete gymnasium with a regulation indoor basketball court, locker rooms, storage areas as well as a weight training room and a dance/multipurpose studio. The second floor includes four state of the art science classrooms as well as additional teaching space.
This journey of Opening New Windows will discover areas of opportunity for Seacrest students eager to realize the full potential of this beautiful and unique school. We invite you to join us with your support. If we are all Opening New Windows together, the dream of the completed Seacrest High School will soon be realized.
