  WHAT TO EXPECT:
            FROM ACADEMICS AT SEACREST

- Being academically engaged and intellectually curious is "cool". Student at Seacrest truly enjoy the academic experience.

- Teachers are attuned to differentiated learning and can create individual strategies that maximize each student's potential.

-  In classes with an average of ten students learning is derived from an open exchange of ideas and all are expected to actively share in the process.

- Devoted to character education as well as academic skills teachers promote a climate of respect and responsibility. Students are encouraged to discover their own point of view while respecting the differing viewpoints of others.

- Students are challenged and have a genuine sense of pride in their accomplishments.

- As faculty advisors teachers are "there" for their students both in and outside the classroom. Advisors help students with everything from ensuring good study habits to promoting leadership and service opportunities.

- Students are encouraged to pursue their passions. Through study abroad programs, internships, and independent projects students are provided ample opportunity for experiential, self-directed learning.

- Teachers love to teach in the close-knit community that is Seacrest.
