  Early Childhood Program: Philosophy

Seacrest School's Early Childhood curriculum empowers its children with an enduring ability to interact, grow, and develop throughout the curriculum and in all life's situations. Success in today's society depends upon the ability to use all of the many facets of knowledge.

Through the use of our innovative approach in a loving, safe, and secure environment children move toward new learning. Children are naturally curious and internally motivated. They have a need to discover why and how things work. At Seacrest our children are immersed in a hands-on, unique, individualized approach toward deep understanding. Our use of creative techniques in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development build a solid foundation for enriched growth.

The beauty of this comprehensive approach is that children are motivated to use exploration, experimentation, creativity, and enthusiasm within an age-appropriate curriculum, which includes multi-cultural experiences and state-of-the-art technology. They are encouraged to think holistically and observe critically and appreciatively. Using these methods, they discover that there are well-ordered systems to be recognized and implemented as they find alternate ways to solve problems. Through these experiences, our children explore and further their learning while developing the flexibility to adjust to various situations in the real world.

Seacrest's Early Childhood curriculum inspires children see the relationships that exist among the various branches of the curriculum and their lives. Once those relationships are recognized, it is natural for children to value their learning in other disciplines and in their world.
