Financial Aid Philosophy

Seacrest Country Day School is committed to being a diverse and inclusive community, made up of people from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, and from all racial and ethnic origins. Seacrest believes that a varied student population enriches the entire school community.

Financial considerations should not discourage a qualified student from applying for admission to Seacrest Country Day School. Families who question their ability to meet the cost of an education at Seacrest Country Day School should notify the Chief Financial Officer early in the application process of their intent to apply for aid. Aid decisions are made after a student is accepted to Seacrest and have no bearing on the admission process.

To determine the level of award, the guidelines of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) are followed. This service is located in Princeton, New Jersey and is utilized by the vast majority of independent private schools.

After screening and admission to Seacrest School, parents may request a financial aid application from the business office. Parents may also complete the application online through the NAIS website.  This application is completed by the parents and mailed directly to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid.  A recommended level of award is submitted to the Financial Aid Committee. It should be noted, however, that the School cannot be certain of its ability to meet the need of all admitted candidates in a particular year. Once awarded, however, assistance may be continued through graduation, provided the student remains in good standing and financial need continues, as re-evaluated on an annual basis.
