Welcome from the Head of School
 

Welcome to Seacrest School! We have been educating children and building community in our corner of beautiful southwest Florida for nearly thirty years. From its early beginnings as a small and intimate school for young children, Seacrest has grown and evolved into a dynamic and vibrant independent school whose graduates attend the most selective colleges and universities. We remain clearly focused on building students of character with intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit who live consequential lives. As Seacrest’s new Head of School, one of the first things that struck me, and which I fully embraced, is "The Seacrest Difference." On my first visit to the school I could feel the difference that is at the very heart of Seacrest. For children in all divisions, it is a safe and warm place where they grow and blossom, where they take risks and stretch themselves, where they find success and sometimes fail along the way, both individually and as part of a cohort. They develop a sense of shared purpose and mutual vitality, and through that investment they learn to love this place and care deeply for each other. We ask them to solve real problems and to think both critically and creatively — the intersection of which is vital to success in our world. We ask them to be citizens, to be part of something bigger than themselves, and to leave Seacrest a better place than what they found.

For teachers, Seacrest is a place where they can fully use their incredible talents, their craft, their knowledge of the learning process, and their dedication to children. We take great pride in our faculty and their work with our children. Their efforts give meaning and substance to "The Seacrest Difference."

Seacrest is a place where parents count, and are counted upon. They count because we are true partners in the education of the children who attend our school. We count upon them because they are integral to the success of Seacrest through their support and effort.

Together — students, parents, and faculty — we are the community that is Seacrest Country Day School. Together we embark on an annual journey of discovery and wonder. Every day we work together, learn together, discover together. Every day we try to live lives of consequence and challenge with a touch of grace.
